Using a new method, the Raman and hyper‐Raman tensors for the point groups 8 ( C 8 ), 8 ( S 8 ), 8/ m ( C 8 h ), 8 mm (C 8ν ), 822 ( D 8 ) and 8/ mmm ( D 8 h ) have been tabulated.
