Raman and IR spectra of β‐alanine and sarcosine monophosphates

The IR and Raman spectra of the monophosphates of β‐alanine and sarcosine were recorded and analysed. The carboxylic group is found to exist as COO − and the orthophosphate as H 3 PO 4 in β‐alanine monophosphate. In sarcosine monophosphate these groups seem to exist as COOH and H 2 PO 4 − , respectively.
