IR data from gaseous and matrix‐isolated chlorocarbonyl isocyanate and Raman data from the liquid were obtained. The observed features agree with the existence, proved by electron diffraction, of at least two conformers due to rotational isomerism around the CN bond. Some force constants were calculated for the planar trans ( anti ) conformer.
