An experimental study of the Raman intensities of cyclohexane in the gas phase is presented. The absolute scattering coefficients and depolarization ratios corresponding to clearly differentiated spectral regions (containing one or more normal modes) were measured. The absoulute intensity of the 802 cm −1 Raman line was used as an external intensity standard. The value of S obtained for this band is 12.24 × 10 −81 C 2 V −2 m 4 .
