IR, Raman and UV spectra of CF 3 C(O)I have been obtained and assigned to the expected vibrational normal modes of the molecule and electronic transitions in the CO group. Internal force constants were calculated from vibrational data. The results agree with data reported for other CF 3 C(O)X compounds.
