Raman spectra were obtained from PdO, Rh 2 O 3 and PdRhO 2 thin films formed by oxidizing foil samples. Polarization measurements allow symmetry species assignments to be made for the lines from the corundum phase of Rh 2 O 3 and from PdRhO 2 , which has a delafossite structure.
