The complex of praseodymium with 1‐(2‐pyridylazo)‐2‐naphthol (HPAN) has been investigated by resonance Raman and IR spectroscopy. It has been found that the Pr(PAN) 3 complex exhibits tautomerism in various organic solvents. The excitation profiles of the observed Raman bands have been obtained and used for vibrational band assignments.
