Vibrational assignments are proposed for the room‐temperature FTIR and laser Raman microprobe spectra of solid uridine. These assignments are based chiefly on comparisons of the vibrational data observed for uracil, D ‐ribose and a 1:1 mixture of these two compounds with those for the uridine nucleoside itself.
