The resonance Raman spectrum of a polycrystalline sample of AgMnO 4 allowed a wider insight into the vibrational properties of the MnO 4 −ion in this lattice. This study confirmed important covalent contributions to the overall structure and strong cooperative effects between the ions present in the unit cell.
