Low‐frequency Raman spectra of crystalline l ‐cocaine hydrochloride were recorded at room temperature and 9 K. Polarization of Raman bands was obtained on single crystals. The observed frequencies of the lattice modes are compared with those calculated using semi‐empirical intermolecular atom‐atom potentials. Eigenvectors of the lattice modes are given.
