The Raman spectra of the new anticancer agent N 3 P 3 (NC 2 H 4 ) 6 (MYKO 63), in the solid state and in aqueous solution, and the infrared spectra of the molecule in the solid state, are reported for the first time. All the assignments are discussed in terms of the following vibrations framework (N 3 P 3 ); ligand (NC 2 H 4 ); and framework‐Iigand couplings (N endo2 PN exo2 ). The concept of group frequencies associated with local symmetrical valence coordinates is used extensively.
