Laser Raman spectroscopy permits the study of black graphitic materials. Intercalated compound of first stage obtained with H 2 SO 4 will be appear to contain the ion S 2 O 7 2− . The frequencies of Raman active mode E 2g2 of graphite network are in good agreement with this result. The interaction between graphitic plane and this intercalated molecule is weaker than in material obtained by action of HSO 3 F on graphite.
