The vibration‐rotation Raman spectra of the oxygen species 18 O 2 , 17 O 18 O, 17 O 2 and 16 O 2 have been recorded and analysed; the spectra of the 17 O 18 O and 17 O 2 species are reported for the first time. The B 0 and α values from these analyses were used to calculate values for the equilibrium‐state rotational constants, B e , and hence the bond lengths, r e . The following values were obtained:
