Raman spectra of the dinucleoside monophosphates ApG, GpA, ApC, CpA, ApU, UpA and ApA are reported and discussed. Our measurements show that the sequence isomers have different relative conformations owing to different intra‐ and intermolecular interactions. The most striking differences are found between ApG and GpA. The intensity of the 730 cm −1 ring breathing vibration of adenine has been determined quantitatively. We find that the intensity of this mode is sequence‐dependent.
