The low frequency (30–200 cm −1 ) Raman spectra of Cl 2 and Br 2 complexes with ethylene, cyclohexene and benzene have been investigated at 77 K. Vibrations of two types are observed in this region of the spectra for olefin–X 2 complexes: valence and probably torsion vibrations.
