Determination of A 0 for CH 3 D from the ν 4 Raman band

The ν 1 Raman band of CH 3 D has been analysed by means of ground state combination differences. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by Olson from perturbationallowed infrared transitions. The present work removes a previous discrepancy between infrared and Raman results, and shows that the Raman method may yield A 0 values with low systematic errors.
