A systematic procedure for the interpretation of Raman spectra of carbon‐hydrogen‐ and alcoholic compounds is outlined. The system – based on logical yes/no decisions – gives information on the structure elements present in an unknown molecule. Hardly any interpretation experience is required. The system as developed so far is presented.
