Aim: To identify stakeholder recollections of intervention strategies used to implement Drug and Therapeutics Committee decisions and explore stakeholder opinions of the applicability of intervention strategies in an organisational setting. Method: A sample of stakeholders was invited to participate in focus group discussions. Discussions were audiotaped, transcribed verbatim and thematically analysed. Results: Themes arising from the focus groups included: face‐to‐face intervention strategies are more effective; published/printed materials had little effect; strategies need to be delivered at the point of care to be effective; implementation of decisions needs to be timely; and tailored strategies are more effective. Conclusion: These results could guide future implementation strategies for Drug and Therapeutics Committee decisions.
