The effective management of cytotoxic drug extravasation is limited by the lack of published data on which to base treatments. Methotrexate (MTX) is an antineoplastic agent used in a wide variety of tumours. However, there are no published data on the sequelae from extravasation of high‐dose MTX. These two case reports give some insight into the sequelae from high‐dose MTX extravasation, and some guidance on treatment.
