Some of the newer antidepressants, such as the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and nefazodone, are associated with potentiaily serious drug interactions. Some medication alert cards were developed to decrease the likelihood that patients treated with antidepressant agents wiii be adversely affected by drug interactions.
