Abstract Gabapentin is an interesting drug and it has many uses. There are two gabapentin formulations with multiple brand names. It is also used for a variety of other conditions, such as neuropathic pain, alcohol withdrawal syndrome, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post‐op pain, fibromyalgia, hot sweats, haemodialysis‐associated pruritus, and to potentiate opioids effect.
