Use of a sulphite containing desulphurization product (TASP) as a sulphur fertilizer had no negative effects on germination or growth of oilseed rape or white cabbage when applied in an amount corresponding to 48 kg sulphite‐S as calcium sulphite per ha, neither when used alone, nor when mixed with animal slurry. The product increased the plant yield when applied on soils poor in available sulphur.
