The sensitivity of a glutathione‐deficient mutant of yeast towards thiram and dimethyl dithiocarbamic acid was compared to that of a wild strain. It was shown that the GSH contents of the cell correlated with the toxicity of both drugs, and that glutathione is probably involved in the metabolism of these drugs.
