It is assumed that the soil surface roughness is related to single aggregate size classes and the evaluation procedure was developed. If is based on the high resolution measurements with a noncontact laser scanner. Single harmonic ozcillations corresponding to aggregate size classes are filtered out from the surface profile using the Fourier analysis. By means of two examples, the advantage of this method over the simple profile length ratio is demonstrated.
