An efficient procedure suitable for calibrating a large number of psychrometric units in a short period is described. Twenty two units, mounted on a calibration chamber, get equilibrated simultaneously, with the given osmotic solution at constant temperature. Flushing arrangement, provided with the calibration chamber facilitates quick vapour and temperature equilibration. Thus the calibration of a given set of units for various water potentials and at different temperature is performed in a short period. The predictive model proposed by Meyn and White (1972) was also tested for its reliability, with a large number of observations recorded at each calibration temperature. The proposed model was found suitable to translate the psychrometric output measured at the ambient temperature to the standard temperature.
