Electron‐donor‐acceptor‐complexes between aromatic nitrogen heterocycles and humic acid The methanolic extract of a synthetic humic acid was mixed with different aromatic nitrogen heterocycles. Precipitations were obtained, which could be identified as electron‐donor‐acceptor‐complexes by IR‐spectroscopy. As N‐heterocycles are known to be n‐electron‐donors, the humic acid has to be interpreted as the π‐electron‐acceptor part of the molecular complexes.
