Formation and pedological influence of glacial frostwedges of a moraine landscape in the north of Germany Glossudal‐soilscapes of West‐Berlin show a net of frost cracks filled with sand. We think that cracks were filled by wind blown sand during the Pommern‐phase of the Weichselglaciation. Later on frost action and sedimentation of aeolian sand changed with each other under periglacial conditions followed by clay migration, mainly under holocene conditions. Sand wedges arise the variability of oecological conditions.
