An Electromechanical Balance Set for Lysimeters The paper presents a detailed description of a simple electromechanical balance with a high load‐carrying capacity (up to 500 kp) and sufficient sensitivity (± 30 p) suitable for continuous recording small weight amplitudes of long soil monolith lysimeters. A low compact decimal balance set is combined with an electrical bend stress bar. Its electrical resistance values are used for remote weight recording by means of a compensator with analog‐digital converter contact. A test point commutator permits simultaneous reading of several scales.
