Having identified the US federal government as an untapped market for its products and services, FalconStor Software, an international data protection company, was unsure how to navigate in this niche sector. A partnership with Acolyst, a government technology consulting firm, led to the development of a new program based on revamping the organization's transformational mindset, insight, strategy, and performance reporting and then applying the principles of the four intelligences of the business mind: financial, customer, data, and mastermind intelligence. Thorough assessment and documentation, gap analysis, strategy mapping, team communication and collaboration, performance measurement, and continual improvement exercises were all employed to improve organizational effectiveness and generate sales in a new market. ©2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
