Facing the challenges of an industry undergoing reform, Holy Family Memorial, a health‐care network based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, focused its improvement efforts on a series of small‐scale projects to address issues ranging from patient care and support to paperwork. By involving all stakeholders in decision making and shaping the organizational culture in the process, it has managed to adhere to the principles of its faith‐based mission while ensuring patient safety, enhancing customer service, facilitating organizational communications, and gaining a net marginal change exceeding $17 million over the last three years. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
