Cover illustration: This image shows the rod shape morphology of Achromobacter sp. TMB1 under Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The image was taken from pure culture colonies grown in mineral salt medium and fixed in 2.5% glutaraldehyde. Achromobacter sp. TMB1 is a gram‐negative, indole test negative, methyl red test negative, citrate test positive, and Voges‐Proskauer test positive bacterial strain, isolated from crude oil contaminated soil of Tezpur city, Assam, India. The organism is capable of producing thermostable biosurfactant (rhamnolipid) suitable for use in microbial enhanced oil recovery and bioremediation.
