A new species, Anoxybacillus salavatliensis , was studied for phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and genetic characteristics. The novel α‐glucosidase producing strain is Gram‐positive, motile and forms terminal, ellipsoidal endospores after 24–48 h incubation in liquid media. (Photo: Mehlika Benli, Tandogan, Ankara, Turkey)
