Low‐resolution mass spectra, and where appropriate complete high‐resolution mass spectra, were recorded for 29 2,3‐disubstituted 4‐quinazolones. Rationalizations are presented for the principal fragmentation modes of this series of aromatic compounds. Four of the 4‐quinazolones which contain a vinyl‐2‐furanyl group attached to C‐2 of the heterocyclic ring exhibited an unusual loss of C 3 H 2 O from their respective molecular ions.
