The purpose of this manuscript is to review the major MRI findings in patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathies. Cardiac MRI has become an integral part in the diagnosis and management of patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathies. Findings on cardiac MRI studies can help distinguish between different types of cardiomyopathies and can provide valuable diagnostic and prognostic information. J. Magn. Reson.
