The author describes a simple technique for performing locally focused tomography with magnetic resonance imaging. In contrast to a previous technique, which utilized wave functions to represent k‐space data, the one described here does not require complicated experimental design and reconstruction procedures and is easy to implement and understand. The technique is verified with an experimental study. Technical details and experimental results are presented.
