This qualitative study examined the professional and multicultural identities among 13 international counselor education doctoral students. Participants identified cultural identities and difficulties with studying abroad, and their influence on their professional development. Implications and recommendations for counselor education programs are discussed. Este estudio cualitativo examinó las identidades profesionales y multiculturales de 13 estudiantes internacionales en programas de doctorado en educación de consejeros. Los participantes identificaron identidades culturales y dificultades relacionadas con el hecho de estudiar en un país extranjero, así como la influencia de estas en su desarrollo profesional. Se discuten las implicaciones y recomendación para programas de educación de consejeros.
