There is a real need to develop a superior high yield target system for the production of large quantities of 18 F‐fluoride with the increasing numbers of clinical PET centers worldwide. Therefore we have investigated a route to higher yield target system for 18 F‐fluoride production which relies on gas target designs. (1)
