[ 124 I]Iodo‐annexin‐V and [ 124 I]IBA‐Annexin‐V have been prepared using direct and indirect methods, respectively. [ 124 I]IBA‐annexin‐V was prepared using [ 124 I] m ‐ N ‐succinimidyl iodobenzoate ([ 124 I] m ‐SIB). Preliminary in vitro binding studies have shown enhanced binding of [ 124 I]IBA‐annexin‐V to human leukaemic cells induced to undergo apoptosis compared to untreated cells.
