Terbinafine is a new antimycotic agent which is currently being tested worldwide in clinical trials. The synthesis of [ 14 C]Terbinafine, labelled in the naphthalene methane moiety as well as in the tertiary butyl group are described. The key step of the latter is the aluminium‐mediated tertiary butylation of an alkyne.
