An installation is described for the carbonation of organomagnesium reagents with 13 CO 2 or 14 CO 2 . The obtained vacuum results by sweeping all permanent gases with solvent vapour (ethyl ether or tetrahydrofuran) at room temperature under moderate vacuum. Specific steps in the carbonation procedure are indicated, leading to good yields of carboxyl‐labelled acids.
