2‐Diethylaminoethyl phenylacetate was labelled by 14 C in two positions: ‐ on the carboxylic group by means of 14 C‐phenylacetic acid. ‐ on the aminoethanol part using 14 C ethanolamine as intermediate. Biodistribution studies were performed in rats for the two labellings after i.v. administration of the compound.
