The synthesis of three deuterated analogues[d 4 , d 6 and d 9 ] of the novel antidiarrhoeal agent 2‐[3,3‐diphenyl‐3‐2‐methyl‐1,3,4‐oxadiazol‐5‐yl) propyl]‐2‐azabicyclo[2,2,2]octane is described. The compounds prepared were of high isotopic purity and were used in metabolism and bioavailability studies.
