The synthesis and crystal structures of deuterium‐labeled 5‐substituted 1 H ‐tetrazoles, 5‐[ 2 H 5 ]phenyl‐1 H ‐tetrazole (I), 5‐[ 2 H 7 ]tolyl‐1 H ‐tetrazole (II), and 5‐[ 2 H 7 ]benzyl‐1 H ‐tetrazole (III) are reported. All syntheses were carried out using simple, facile steps and the products were obtained in high yields. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
