1,3,2‐Thiazaphospholidin‐4‐ones are a relatively new group of five‐membered cyclic phosphorylating agents. They may be used in amino acid phosphorylation and nucleotide coupling. Common pathways to thus compounds are reported. Even sulfurized DNA analogs are accessible by these agents.
