Derivatives of Thiazoles and Thiazolidines from Benzoylthioureas The thioureas 1a – c react with the derivatives of γ‐bromocrotonic acid 2a and 2b to give the thiazoles 3a – f . Contrary to this, the treatment of 1d or 1e with 4 or 2a and 2b leads to the thiazolidines 5a and 5b or 6a – d , respectively. 3g can be synthesized by the reaction of N ‐benzimidoyl‐ N′ ‐phenylthiourea ( 7 ) with 2a .
