2,2‐Dinitroethylation of some C‐H acidic compounds with N , N , N ‐trimethyl‐2,2‐bis( aci ‐nitro)ethanaminium hydroxide (inner salt) ( 1 ) is investigated and the products and byproducts are characterized.
