Synthesis and Characterization of a New Diacetylene with Terminal Nitroxyl Radical Groups The new diacetylene 4 was prepared from 4‐isocyanato‐2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidin‐1‐oxyl ( 2 ) and 2,4‐hexadiyne‐1,6‐diol ( 3 ). The diacetylene 4 could not be polymerized by irradiation or thermal treatment, but decomposition and loss of paramagnetic properties was observed. A new synthesis of isocyanate 2 is also described.
