Intermolecular charge‐transfer (CT) complexes of arylazoaminopyrazoles as donors with 2‐(dicyanomethylen)indane‐1,3‐dione (CNIND) and 9‐(dicyanomethylene)‐2,4,7‐trinitrofluorene (DTF) as π‐acceptors have been investigated spectroscopically. Arylazoaminopyrazoles react with CNIND via charge‐transfer complexes to yield indanopyrazolo[1,5‐α]‐pyrimidines 5 .
