The peroxidation of isorotenone ( 5a ) and rotenone ( 7a ) is reexamined in detail. The stereochemistry and interconversions of isorotenolones C ( 1a, b ) and D ( 1c, d ), as well as of rotenolones C ( 4a and 4b ) and D ( 4c and 4d ) are discussed.
