New 1‐Methyl‐1λ 4 ,4‐thiazine 1‐Oxides from N ‐Cyanoimidic Esters N ‐cyanoimidates 1a – h react with dimethyloxosulfonium methylide ( 2 ) to give the condensation products 3a – h . Under basic conditions 3a – d form the thiazine derivatives 4a – d . Reactions of 4a, b with perchloric acid, phenyl isocyanate, and bromine are described (→5 – 7).
